Top quality training status means DTE is the place to be
20/11/2006

UK top 30 accountancy and professional services group DTE has been designated an Approved Employer for professional development.

"This is a major accolade," comments Keith Train, managing partner DTE Group. "Official recognition means people who take part in DTE schemes, such as seminars and workshops, automatically meet the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) continuous professional development (CPD) requirements.

"Approved Employer status represents a substantial enhancement of our capabilities as a top quality employer for training at all levels of professional career development."
ACCA members working at DTE simply need to confirm their details online to register professional progress, rather than completing formal CPD records.

Extra ACCA services available to all DTE staff include an online professional development tool that enables individuals to identify their learning needs, choose the most effective method and identify career aspirations. In addition, an ACCA knowledge library provides a wealth of published material, reports and articles in magazines.

The quality of training provided to DTE employees across the UK is illustrated by a number of recent professional examination successes.

John Barber, a senior accountant in the firm's Bury audit department, passed ACCA papers in financial management & control, as well as financial reporting.

Sarah Bourke, corporate recovery manager at DTE Leonard Curtis in Birmingham, gained qualifications in business law in practice and accounting for business.

Paula Castle, business development manager at DTE Leonard Curtis in Manchester obtained a certificate of proficiency in insolvency (CPI).

Rachel Baggoley, an administrator in the insolvency department in Bury, passed Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) exams in accounting for business and business law in practice.

Andrew Pitts, a Bury-based administrator in the insolvency department, gained his certificate of proficiency in insolvency (CPI).

Amie Wilson, audit clerk based in Bury, passed ACCA papers in information systems, corporate law and business tax.
